Most everyone can identify Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus globulus) by scent alone from the vapor rubs our parents gave us as kids to ease cold symptoms. The vapors of eucalyptus are comforting and ease breathing when we’re under the weather with a sinus infection, cold or flu. Eucalyptus is naturally anti-bacterial, antiseptic and astringent and can even cleanse the air when misted or diffused in sick rooms.
In the treasure chest of essential oils, eucalyptus is commonly used to refresh and stimulate the mind and body. Its scent is a great pick-me-up when we’re feeling lethargic. How about aches? Eucalyptus is the first choice for massage oils, compresses, and baths to soothe aching muscles. With all that going for it, it’s no surprise that eucalyptus is one of the most popular scents for saunas, hot tubs, baths and showers.
Eucalyptus can be used for dry and oily skin types, an added bonus for adjusting to seasonal weather changes. Eucalyptus soothes dry, chapped skin when added to body moisturizers and is gently effective for oily skin when used as an astringent.

Purify – eucalyptus, lemongrass, lavender
Northwoods Fragrance – eucalyptus, fir needle
Foot Aches/Odor – eucalyptus, tea tree, peppermint, geranium
Basic cautions: Always use essential oils with caution and recognize that these oils are strongly concentrated – a little bit goes a long way. Do not ingest essential oils or take them internally in any way. Always use essential oils in a carrier oil or lotion. Keep all oils out of the reach of children. When trying a new oil or blend, always do a patch test.
